The rules for using Kilat

These terms govern your use of Kilat ("the Service"). By using Kilat you agree to them. They're written in plain language because real legalese doesn't help anyone.

1. What Kilat does

Kilat takes a product photo you upload and uses AI to generate a professional advertisement-style image around it. You can download the result and use it on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Instagram, or anywhere else you sell.

You keep all rights to your photos. Uploading does not transfer ownership.

By using Kilat, you grant us a limited licence solely to process your photo — that is, to send it to our AI partners and store the result so you can download it. This licence ends when the photo is deleted (see retention in our Privacy Policy).

You promise that any photo you upload:

Kilat has a free tier and paid monthly plans (Starter, Pro, Business). Plan details and current prices are shown inside the app.

30-day money-back guarantee. Within the first 30 days of any paid plan, email support@kilat.studio for a full refund — no questions asked.

Kilat uses third-party generative AI. We can promise:

We cannot promise that every generated image will meet your taste, brand, or use case. If a result doesn't work, use the "Try another scene" button to generate a different version (this uses one of your monthly quota).

We try our best to keep Kilat running but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The Service depends on third-party providers (OpenAI, Replicate, Firebase, Netlify) whose downtime affects us. If there is significant downtime that prevents you from using the Service for a full day, contact us for a pro-rata credit.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (such as lost sales or lost customers).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make changes that materially affect your rights, we'll notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using Kilat anytime by signing out and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice unless the violation is serious or repeated.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be resolved in the Malaysian courts.
